Remember the hand-held camera that Sam gets from some guy in the audience and films Ed with? Not anymore....lots more news footage. Neat to see the differences. Rob, come on, that's about enough. That was really uncalled for, my friend. After two days of wading through what has nearly become the Rob Morgan list, I'm beginning to feel concerned for you. You see, that person that you flamed without cause was asking a LEGITIMATE question about Eddie's guitar playing. You had no reason to take a cheap shot at him like that. You see, Rob, this is the VAN HALEN mailing list. We are here because we are die hard fans of the band. Sure, sometimes the subject matter strays a bit, and everybody has their flame wars, which is to be expected, but when it gets to the point when 75-80% of the posts here consist of you attacking everyone at will, then I think you've gone over the line. I'm glad you got a good laugh out of my post earlier, because it was meant to be funny, but it was also my friendly way of telling you (and I'm sure a great majority of the list will agree with me) you need to chill out. It's getting a little tired. When you start attacking list members who are contributing legitimate VAN HALEN related material to the list, COMBINED with what you've already been doing, then perhaps you should visit that Van Halen mailing Information page on the Web that I was spoofing earlier today, and read what #6 really says. It's at http://carrol1.cc.edu/~rhiggins/vh_mailinglist.html. Do yourself a favor and check it out. This person above whom you decided was in need of experiencing your wrath and taught a lesson was obviously interested in what different excercises Eddie uses when practicing. He is probably a guitar player, and is interested in finding out new techniques or just compare notes with what he does himself. This is Van Halen related, and this list might be useful for him to find out the answers to his questions. That is why this list is here. You, on the other hand, have done nothing but flame and attack people for two days straight, and although flame wars do happen from time to time on the list, when it gets to the point where the majority of the days posts are you ranting and spewring profanity and insults at everyone, it's not cool. You aren't contributing anything to the list, and it wastes A LOT of bandwidth, not to mention it's beginning to get on everyones nerves. You haven't attacked me so far (although to pad your ego and self-esteem, after reading this you probably will feel wrong about yourself if you don't), so I really have no beef with you. I'm only asking you to consider what I'm saying. This is about the freindliest advice you're probably ever going to get on this list, so why don't you sit back, relax, and THINK about it. Well kind a-sort a. But I had to reel you in because I'd like to share with you the 2 new VH cd's I picked up a couple of weeks ago!!! Both discs have their front and back cover printed on parchment paper and are in full color. Both discs feature pictures of the band with Sammy on the front. The sound quality is EXCELLENT and seems to have no *generation* loss. Levels are peaked( but not distorted) and the sound is full and rich. The disc "The Best Of..." is *peppered* with old and new VH. The 1st disc is entitled "The Best Of..." it features a picture of the band (circa 1988). The back cover features a picture of DLR in the left hand corner(from the back of VH1 bending over backwards). The inside of the front cover features 4 pictures of the band (split into quaters circa 1995) inside the front cover is the song listings. The disc is a bright red (there is no matrix number) and has the song listings which are : (songs listed on order) 1)Ain't Talkin Bout Love 2)Jamies Cryin' 3)Jump 4)Panama 5)Cradle Will Rock 6)You Really Got Me 7)I'll Wait 8)A.F.U. 9)Cabo Wabo 10)Black & Blue 11)The Seventh Seal 12)Amsterdam 13)Mine All Mine 14)Take Your Whiskey Home 15)Drop Dead Legs 16)Feel You Love Tonite Disc #2 is entitled "Van Halen Through The Years" It features a color picture of the band (circa 1986) and has the *old* VH logo super imposed over the picture. The front and back covers are printed on thick parchment paper. The rear cover has a picture of the band (circa 1986) and has the song titles super imposed over the top 1/4 of the cover with a small VH logo (early years) on the bottom left hand side. There is a UPC code at the bottom right hand side and it claims that all the songs are DDD (as opposed to ADD). The inside front cover features small pictures (1 of Eddie and 2 of Sammy) with the song listings but what's different is if you look closely the whole inside front cover is a picture of Dave and Eddie in concert (circa 1979). It also has a small discography at the bottom. When you open the inside front cover it lists the sons again on the left side and displays the VH logo on the right side. The disc itself is a 2 shaded red disc and sports the matrix number PB-1013. The songs include : (in order) 1)You Really Got Me 2)Runnin' With The Devil 3)Dance The Night Away 4)And The Cradle Will Rock 5)Could This Be Magic 6)Mean Streets 7)Unchained 8)Dancin' In The Streets 9)Jump 10)Panama 11)Why Can't This Be Love 12)Good Enough 13)When It's Love 14)Poundcake 15)Right Now 16)Feelin' 17)Can't Stop Lovin You REVIEW : These are a class A production! No expense spared and no corners cut. Sound is excellent and is recommended to everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Apparently you like your "news" with one part information, six parts snide speculation. And whether or not they occasionally get a story half right, you obviously have no problem with their methods and lack of respect and compassion when it comes to stepping over the line. By the looks of things lately, maybe folks like Baldwin, Clooney, and Spielberg will finally help bring an end to the extreme invasions of privacy those sorry fucks get rich off of. Maybe not. One can only hope. Rex, I'm sorry you don't like the way you believe things went down with Dave. I'd have given just about anything to see you finally shut up and quit being such a cold sore about getting him back. And you keep right on questioning my "motives" for expressing my views on your actions; at least I'm not speaking ON BEHALF OF anybody. When Val or Scotty speak, at least it's coming from someone FROM the VH camp. It's a sad day, however, when a fellow list member gets tapped to be Dave's propaganda machine. Dave's got an assistant (a former list lurker), and his assistant has a modem. Why doesn't Dave speak for Dave? Oh, I forgot -- everyone say it with me: Dave's...not...talking. Bauvil P.S. > I was here long before Dave contacted me and I'll be here long after. Did your Mom pop a few before you were born? Not only would that explain your fucked up name, but it would explain why you came out as the biggest geek, loser, fuck-up in the world, not to mention your physical problems! You want my home phone number? Well, I won't post it on the list. And I normally would post it to you privately, but then you'd probably post it on the list. Still, e-mail me privately, fat-boy. As for you meeting me before, give it up! Who would you know? You don't have any friends, so which enemies could you make? I just read some of your messages, thought you were an idiot, and wondered how you would react to some childish insults. Well, my childish provoking certainly brought out some childish reactions. You truly are a pathetic idiot, Mully. E-mail me privately.
