Thanks.<< The book shows that no audio or video recordings from the Portland '86 concerts are in circulation, therefore a set list can't be determined. Sorry I couldn't help, but the record will show by default the band played their usual 5150 tour set list on those nights - until further evidence can confirm the contrary. The songs that the band pulled out for special occasions on this tour included: "Rock Candy," "Wild Thing," "Make It Last," "Crossroads," "Foxey Lady," "Summertime Blues," "Outside Woman Blues," and "Sunshine of Your Love." If "Unchained" was performed it was such an isolated event that I'd need a bootleg or something to add it to the book. -CJ >> Well, thanks for checking anyway Sieje... one more for you though: a surf instrumental called "Pipeline." VH is a team--whether or not each member contributes equally to the creation of a song is beside the point. When a group of people work together on a project, equal credit for the creative process should be given. obviously, from interviews i have read, the band thinks and feels this way. ed has stated in many interviews that they are a team--one cannot do the creating without input from the others. it may be that ed, or another member of the group-actually does contribute more to a project, but toward overall harmony and in maintaining a positive working environment, credit must be given equally. it does seem that ed gets more media/fan attention than mike or al, and if that became the vibe in the studio as they work together, how long before a harmonious team feeling would fall apart? ed, al, and mike have worked together for so long, and are still able to be friends and create fine music, so they must have hammered out a relationship that works for them. it's a respect issue, and they guys obviously have lots of respect for each other. - --WebTV-Mail-1723492184-1316 Content-Disposition: Inline Content-Type: Message/RFC822 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7Bit Received: from mailsorter-102.bryant.webtv.net (mailsorter-102.iap.bryant.webtv.net [207.79.35.92]) by postoffice-131.iap.bryant.webtv.net (8.8.5/po.gso.24Feb98) with ESMTP id JAA11737; Sun, 20 Sep 1998 09:35:36 -0700 (PDT) Received: from afterburner.sonic.net (afterburner.sonic.net [208.201.224.12]) by mailsorter-102.bryant.webtv.net (8.8.8/ms.graham.14Aug97) with SMTP id JAA28469; Sun, 20 Sep 1998 09:35:35 -0700 (PDT) Received: (qmail 20015 invoked by uid 24); 20 Sep 1998 16:35:33 -0000 Delivered-To: vanhalen@afterburner.sonic.net Received: from sub.sonic.net (sub [208.201.224.8]) by afterburner.sonic.net (8.8.7/8.8.5) with ESMTP id JAA20009 for ; Sun, 20 Sep 1998 09:35:32 -0700 Received: from imo22.mx.aol.com (imo22.mx.aol.com [198.81.17.66]) by sub.sonic.net (8.8.8/8.8.5) with ESMTP id JAA12083 for ; Sun, 20 Sep 1998 09:35:31 -0700 From: MikeDig@aol.com X-envelope-info: Received: from MikeDig@aol.com by imo22.mx.aol.com (IMOv16.10) id TZJWa03120 for ; Sun, 20 Sep 1998 12:34:42 -0400 (EDT) Message-ID: Date: Sun, 20 Sep 1998 12:34:42 EDT To: vanhalen@sonic.net Mime-Version: 1.0 Subject: Re: Just read the POPsmear DLR Interview.
