I did try ticket brokers. I am a big Cubs fan, but I can't get anyone to go with me (I need assistance), and it would put a real dent in my bank account. All the places I called were charging minimum $250 for 1 ticket! That means upper deck (a seat if you're lucky), or standing room only. That $250 price is for a ticket that normally costs $8! I'll just have to watch the game on TV. At least I was at the game where the Cubs came back against a 10-2 Brewers lead, and Sammy hit #60 that day too. It was fun, the whole crowd danced in the stands for 20 min after the game ended. That was a great time. Ryan Try CenterStage Tickets 1-800-245-7328 outside of Ill or 1-773-233-8686 inside Ill. Ticketmaster doesn't accomodate shit. They have no clue, and tell you to talk to the box office of the certain venue. Ticketmaster has the absolute dumbest people working for them. No offense to anyone who is a ticketmaster operator, but it is the truth. They know absolutely nothing. Of the 30+ calls I have made to them, only once or twice did I even talk to someone who knew anything that was of help to me. When I called the Cubs only ticketmaster, the lady I talked to had no clue that there was a posibility that the Cubs might play the Giants for the right to be the Wild Card. This was the day before tix ended up going on sale. I called again the next day (the day the tix went on sale), and the girl knew of the possible game, but said that the tix would go on sale the next morning. She wouldn't give me an exact time, but said, "probably when the ticketmaster outlets go on sale." This was big help. Only 3 1/2 hours later, the tix went on sale for the game vs the Giants. Big help she was. I had no time to prepare and get my ass to an outlet, and was unable to get tix. Tickets were impossible to get. Just one of the many reasons why I hate ticketmaster. >Hey folks, > >I was just checking out the Ticketmaster online site, and I thought I'd >look at the accessible seating options thing just to see what it was all >about. (no VH) http://www.mindspring.com/~rexjackson/ For the last few days I've been listening to a lot of blues. Mostly stuff from the 40's and 50's. I've listened to Muddy intentionally a lot, but seldom just as background music while I was doing stuff around the house. Man, this week has been a total re-introduction to Muddy. It's amazing when you listen to collections like the Chess Blues box because I'd hear several decent tracks and then a Muddy Waters track pops up and stops me dead in my tracks. The guy had a way of phrasing guitar licks that carried a lot of weight. He makes Howlin' Wolf sound like a pussy. ;-) Anyway, if you're wondering about a good blues CD purchase, I'd recommend some old Muddy. The 3-disc Chess Box would probably be a good place to start. - -Rob ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 30 Sep 1998 18:18:52 +1000 From: Grant Fisher Subject: VH in Iran I just received a guest book entry from a Van Halen fan in Iran!
